           This application is to reassess the active ingredient paraquat. Paraquat-containing formulations are intended to be used as herbicides. The active ingredient in paraquat-containing formulations is paraquat "cation" in the form of a dichloride salt at ~250 g/L, plus other components. Throughout this document the EPA refers to "paraquat", which means the paraquat ion not the dichloride salt. All application rates and toxicity endpoints relate to the paraquat ion unless otherwise noted.
